Not only Durga Puja All year round we stand by poor and needy people.

'Suruchi Sangha' donated Rs 3lakh to 'Sishu Kalyan Parishad' for the construction of children resident, kitchen, computer room etc in order to provide healthy environment to 300 orphans.
In August 2012, on the initiative of the women members of the club mid-day meal was introduced in various primary schools of the are like in New Alipore Primary School , Durgapur Colony, 'Vivekananda Primary Vidyapith' , East Sahapur colony, 'Sarvadaya Hindi School', Durgapur Colony. On 29th March, 2012, in association with Lions Club we distributed 'Vendor cart' to 10 unemployed youths in order to uplift their financial condition.


We organized a road show in association with Lions Club in order to raise consciousness among civilians for keeping New Alipore clean. We provide 15 dustbins in different areas for the resident's convenience.


We also plan to build a library by next year to aid the same cause.


We are beside the senior citizens whose children stay abroad and stay on their own. We render our support and care for them. In case such senior citizens contact us because of illness we arrange for medicines and hospital admissions on their expense.


We also arrange for free checkups and medicines for poor and needy People.


On 1st January, 2012, we spent whole day with the aged people of 'Nabanir' old age home, Chetla. 34 year old, mentally challenged Sri Sanjiblal Biswas was without a proper residence for last one year. He was admitted and treated in 'Antaray' with the help of the then New Alipore Police Station incharge Sir Prakash Ghosh.


We donated Rs 20 lakh to all Puja Pandals and arranged Rs 20 lakh insurance for pandal hoppers.


Every Saturday under the vigilance of renowned lawyers Sachindranath Boral, Tamal Kanti Mukherjee, Madhumita Adhikari , Ramakant Basu and Deepanjan Dutta we arrange for law related discussions and advice the poor and needy people on legal issues.


For the re- construction of 'Rishi Arabindo' Primary School we donated Rs 30,000 and 6 ton cement .


Every year we help 5 poor girls in their marriage.


Organizing 'Sit and Draw competition' for physically challenged people.


We helped the organization 'Shanksta' by donating Rs 3100, which looks after the children of sex workers. Arranging free yoga and karate Classes for all children up to age of 14 years.


Regularly arranging Blood donation, Eye Donation and Hepatitis B Camps. In July 2012 'Aragya Maternity and Nursing Home' and 'Arkari Piramal' we distributed free medicines and arranged for a Blood – Sugar and Blood –Pressure checkup Camp.


This year also we arranged for a Blood Donation camp keeping in mind our Social responsibility. People from different section of society donated blood & made this event successful. We also organized a health camp for the street children and distributed free medicines. We also organize a general health camp for all people of the locality.


Every ones participation and support has made this event successful. For the benefit of the common people we arranged for a hearse 'Asrujale' at minimum expense. There were no such facilities earlier in our locality.

We encouraged under privilege children to take up basic education and provided books and other amenities to eradicate the abuse of child labour the list of such children are given below
i) Shyamapada Das, Village – Ramchak, P.O – Baghadari, District –Midnapore , Age – 16 Years.
ii) Madhu Barui, Village – Kantapukuria, P.O – Baduri, District – Midnapore Age – 14 Years.
iii) Arup Mal, Village – Panisarodabor. Suruchi Sangha has spent 50,000 Rupees in order to buy books and other amenities for the under privileged children in order to eradicate illiteracy.

It was a devastation not seen in recent memory. What started as a small trough of depression in the Bay of Bengal on Saturday, moved rapidly towards coastal West Bengal, gathered guile and made landfall near the Sagar Islands at around 2 pm on Monday, 25.05.2009.
At least 2 lakh people had been rendered homeless in South 24-Parganas and the army had been called out to reach inaccessible areas...
